I have 2 issues actually.

I installed Jobgrok listings and the module.

1. Whenever I go to components -> Postings, I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /homepages/34/d93434530/htdocs/joomla/administrator/components/com_jobgroklist/models/posting.php on line 344
All of the other pages in the component work fine. I can access postings, companies, locations etc.

2. I can't get them to display on the front page properly. I enabled the modules, and I added 1 job posting, but on my front page I have just text saying:
Jobgrok Listings
JobGrok Postings

but they aren't actual links, just text on the front page.

This is on 1and1 hosting, so I don't think my issues are related to PHP, MySQL etc.

So does anybody know what it is in line 344 that is causing this problem?

I have the exact same issue. I'm also with 1AND1 Hosting. I was with 000webhost free hosting and the components worked. Moved to 1AND1 and I get the same errors.

Has anyone found a fix for this? Does it have anything to do with 1AND1?

Figured it out. Had to convert to PHP5
