Clearly I am confused as to the usages of this component (the Job Listings as well as the Application). First and foremost, I can\'t get the application to appear in the front end. I have created an application in the admin area and have created a link in the main menu to the long application. I have tried all of the applications in menu links, and they all just return the box about \"THIS APPLICATION IS NOT AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT\" in the page with nothing else. I\'m not sure how to make the actual application appear.
This is really only the beginning of my confusion... I can get a sample job to appear through a menu link, but I\'m wondering how people are using it. I am interested in having a site where companies can post open employment opportunities and potential employees can go in and apply for those positions. That being said- the two components don\'t seem to be linked together (at least as far as I can tell). Is this possible?
Also, how does a company add an open position? If everything must be inserted in the administration area, then it doesn\'t seem like the most efficient way to insert these fields. Is there no way to allow a front-end addition of an open position? If not, does the employer have to email the admin with the details of the job and then the admin manually insert it? |

Upon reading more in the forums, I see that there is no way for the employer to add a job listing from the front end and also no way of combining the two components. This being the case-- my question drastically changes...
Is there any time table for when this will be available? Until the integration of these two components and the front-end submission capability, I really won\'t be able to use either.
So again, my question stands as such: Are there any estimates of when the upgrades will be made? I think with those two upgrades that this would be a perfect combination for me. Especially if you could somehow integrate SOBI2 into the mix for the employers. Hint, hint.... ;) |

Hi blueagle1829,
Sorry that our components aren\'t quite \"there\" yet for you. But keep checking back, all the functionality you\'re looking for will be available. (Time table has been slipping : ( but I\'m peddling really fast trying to catch up!!!
As for the employment application, in the admin side, click on the Parameters and save the settings, see if that helps (if you\'re still trying to make the application appear, that is).
Thanks for your interest! |

No idea... I haven\'t bothered to check into this... it is odd, though. |

To answer the initial question... not time frame yet. We have to pay the bills first... |
